Loading...Almost one third of useful space in a townhouse is usually occupied by a staircase. That’s why, while working on the living room in a townhouse with a total area of about 100 square meters, private designers Ruslan and Maria Green had to expand the room by using some designer tricks.

While developing this project, our designers have taken into account the wishes of the owner. She wanted to separate the living room and the kitchen. For this reason, it was decided to combine the kitchen area with the hallway.
After that, the designers selected furniture and décor items in order to create a comfortable interior with Art Nouveau elements. You can see all modern ideas in the living room design in the pictures of 2015. According to the photos, we can say that the overall composition of the interior is built around a corner sofa and a fireplace.

The shape of the sofa allows for the comfortable accommodation of a large company, even in a small room. In the center of the room there is a “delicate” coffee table. The living room area also includes a large TV and a retro-style chair.
The dining area includes a dining table and elegant classical chairs. A fancy chandelier also adorns the living room interior.

Soft beige colors which visually expand the space were chosen as a basis for this room. They are diluted with soft shades of turquoise and purple textiles. A turquoise-saturated chair stands out against a neutral color palette in order to add more chic to the room.
Ceiling panels of mirror fragments and floral stained-glass pictures emphasize the uniqueness of this interior design.
