About Ruslan and Maria Green Design Studio

During the first year of our married life, we could not bring ourselves to even think about working together, but we later understood that having different opinions does not hinder, but, on the contrary, invigorate our work and foster better ideas. And so, over the past 6 years, our arguments have given birth to famous restaurant, house and office designs. Our work is featured in the media and noted by our colleagues. Designing is a way of life for us. We paint and do some arts and crafts together even during our free time. In addition to our professional activity, we also host the TV show About Decor on TNT.

Ruslan started his career as an apprentice at a famous Italian designer’s studio and has completed many design, architectural and landscaping projects since then. Today, he manages a design studio and complex projects. Like many Italian designers, he is not afraid to experiment and make mistakes. He believes that every project should have “a certain something”, “a special feature”, “a signature”. He dislikes standard solutions, and is constantly on the look out for new design skills and knowledge. While creating an interior, he knows exactly how and from what it will be done, how long it will take and how much it will cost. Ruslan – aka Ruslan Green* on the TNT television show About Decor – believes that all details in an interior are important. He says that his designs are “like a Swiss watch in which every detail is working properly." He thinks that every space inherently has its own unique plan and structure. Ruslan creates interiors considering the characteristics of each room, rather than applying typical standard solutions. He gladly accepted to host the TV show About Decor on TNT, as through his projects and this TV program, Ruslan seeks to modernize not only interior designs, but also people’s perceptions.

Maria showed very strong artistic predispositions already as a child.  At the tender age of 16, Maria worked as an apprentice in an architectural firm. She knew what her profession would be as soon as she entered the fascinating world of architecture, although Maria has not yet to that day determined whether she is an architect or a designer. Maria creates architectural designs for houses for which she later comes up with interior designs as well. While living in the United States and Israel, she got to see comfortable houses with unique architecture. The standards she got acquainted with while living abroad are often included in her projects. When she was studying, she got involved in the restoration of architectural monuments and the construction of office and commercial buildings. After graduating, she and her husband started a private practice. Maria –aka Mary Green on the TV show About Decor – considers that interior design is an integral part of architecture as a whole. Her style hallmark is the use of a basic background color with bright elements. Her architectural training allows her to bring classical details to modern interiors with confidence and flair. She has a unique feel of fashion trends, although she herself in many ways creates them. She has won several international design and architecture awards. She writes articles for various magazines and also hosts the TV show About Decor on TNT, which gives her a great opportunity to change people's idea of design.
