Children’s room design should be well thought out, taking into account the interests of the children. An ancient map of the world will be a great décor item for dreamers and future travelers; young researchers will appeal to a home lab, and lovers of speed and extreme sports? will be excited about a racing car bed. In addition, it is important to properly zone the area, find the right color scheme and arrange all the necessary things so that they are easy to use.
Principle of Space Zoning in this boy’s Room
The private architecture studio of Ruslan and Maria Green began its work on this project with the space zoning, as the room had to accommodate not only a bed, but also a living room with a large sofa and a study with a convenient storage system.
It was decided not to build partitions but instead to use colors (gray walls in the bedroom and in the living room – white), different floor coverings (parquet and carpet), and original ceiling structures as space dividers. In order to make the area of the bedroom more private, the designers separated it from the living room by a textile curtain.
Bright Accents in a Children’s Room Design
The main colors of this interior design are pastel blue (in the bedroom area) and white (in the living room and study areas). Red furniture (a desk, chests of drawers and a wardrobe) looks especially good against such backgrounds.
Spider-man and a Racing Car
Spider-Man is an idol of all boys. It is not surprising that the ceiling above the bed is decorated with his image. While creating this design project Ruslan and Maria made the image look very real.
The owner of the room is a Formula 1 fan. That is why his bed is designed as a racing car. There are some themed accessories as well: an ottoman in the shape of a tire and a shelf above the sofa.
One of the most interesting things in the interior is a multi-level ceiling in the living room area. The racetrack starts on the wall in the TV area, rises vertically to the ceiling and finishes near the sleeping area.
