Loading...When designing a child’s room design for a girl in “Skolkovo park” private designers Ruslan and Maria Green considered the main preferences of parents and the future owner of the room. They were:
- Soft shades;
- Smooth lines;
- Practicality.
As a result, this child’s room design done for a girl can easily take you into a magical atmosphere of an animated movie.
Main features of a child’s room interior design
Interior design for a 4-year-old girl. Apartment in “Skolkovo Park”
It was decided to use gentle Art Nouveau elements for the classical background of the room. Its smooth lines create a magical forest impression, filled with fabulous plants, trees and birds. Window openings take the entire wall in this apartment, filling the room with bright daylight.
In order to implement this new interior design our experts had to fix the shape of the walls because the apartment is located in a ring-shaped building and the classical style requires symmetry and rectangular forms. After that they indicated the main elements for the project:
- round-shaped furniture;
- soft lilac-pink shades;
- floral patterns on the floor, ceiling and furniture;
- scattered light.
The abundance of light fixtures in this design project contributes to the good illumination of child’s room and provides diffused, soft light. On the ceiling, colorful stained glass pictures with floral ornaments create an atmosphere of a mysterious forest with vines and colorful orchids.
Practicality of the room’s interior design for a girl

The shape of the room allowed us to divide it into three functional areas:
- for studying;
- for relaxing;
- for sleeping.
The area for studying is next to the window, that’s why it’s so well lit during the day. It is equipped with a retro-style desk, a comfortable chair and a floor lamp.
The area for relaxing is equipped with a soft sofa and a modern plasma TV by private designer Ruslan and Maria Green. The cozy atmosphere of this functional area is highlighted by a massive painting. The sleeping area is equipped with a comfortable canopy bed, bedside tables and elegant lamps.
