What should a guest room design be like? Simple and neat? Or maybe sumptuous and bright? Private interior designers Ruslan and Maria Green decided to go with the second option and they created a pink bedroom. It is a guest room that will make any visitor feel like a member of the royal family.
The modern Art Nouveau interpretation in the pink bedroom interior
In this design project project of a 20 square meter guest bedroom Ruslan and Maria realized some chic Art Nouveau techniques.
Exquisite fretwork, gilding, white patinated furniture with curved legs, a massive chandelier with crystal pendants and even their choice of textile shades – it is all designed to create a luxurious atmosphere in the room, meant to remind the guests of a boudoir.
This bedroom design is implemented in white and pink. Gold is used as an accent tying the room together through furniture and accessories.
Mirror surfaces and frescoes
Maria and Ruslan placed a large panel, consisting of square mirrored facet elements on the wall near the door. It is also very functional: it captures and reflects the light coming through the window and creates a far greater illusion of space. It also serves as a mirror for the dressing table (it comes with the white stand and the ottoman).
There’s also a fresco on the bedroom wall with a slightly blurred image of an angel and clouds. It adds a quaint and classical sophistication to the townhouse design, as well as conceals the door leading to the bathroom and the walk-in closet.
Decorating ideas in a bedroom interior
The wall at the head of the bed is adorned with soft pink wall panels. Such additions look stylishly cozy and match with the mirror.
There are a lot of original details in the bedroom design as well as in the entire house interior. There are many lamps in the room and an original ottoman shaped as a pumpkin (it’s easy to imagine it in Marie Antoinette’s personal boudoir).
